Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the Procurement Manager position that has arisen within our organisation.
Duties And Responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate shall inter-alia be responsible for the following:
- Managing the formulation, implementation and reviewing of the company’s procurement development plans, policies, regulations and procedures in consultation with the Chief Executive Officer.
- Ensuring the company sources quality and affordable products in a reasonable time.
- Creating policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation in procurement.
- Ensuring that the computerized system PASTEL for procurement is up to date.
- Supervising the preparation of bid documents and coordinating tendering processes in compliance with PPDPA Act.
- Developing strong relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve business.
- Proffer advise to management on issues related to procurement.
- Advising senior management on procurement and asset disposal matters, providing technical guidance and support.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement or Supply Chain Management or any other relevant degree.
- A master’s degree in Procurement or MBA will be an added advantage.
- Membership of a Procurement and Supply Chain Management board such as CIPS will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of the Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, and Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe is a must.
- A minimum of five (5) years’ relevant work experience, three (3) of which are at senior level.
- Knowledge of SAGE PASTEL 200 ERP System is an advantage.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
