Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the Management Accountant position that has arisen within our organisation.
Duties And Responsibilities
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate shall inter-alia be responsible for the following:
- Preparing IRBM Budget for the company.
- Consolidating, and managing the annual budgets, forecasts and financial plans for the company.
- Collaborating with department heads to determine needs and objectives for each department.
- Analysing the company’s financial data, identifying the trends and providing variance explanations..
- Ensuring budget alignment with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Conduct regular budget reviews and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Gathering and analysing financial information to assist business profitability and growth.
- Evaluating viability and profitability of both existing and potential investments.
- Reviewing bank reconciliations prepared by subordinates.
- Monitoring and checking bus-by-bus financial performance from all depots.
- Evaluating projects using discounted cashflows, internal rate of return, payback period and such other finance models.
- Conducting risk assessment and advising on ways to minimise the risks.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance will be an added advantage
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIS or CIMA or CIS will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of SAGE PASTEL ERP System is an advantage.
- At least 2 years relevant experience in management accounting or transport industry.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
