Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the Financial Accountant position that has arisen within our organisation.

Duties And Responsibilities

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate shall inter-alia be responsible for the following:

Responsible for financial accounting including preparation of annual accounts for auditing.

Checking financial transactions including accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger entries.

Monitoring and reporting on accounting inconsistencies.

Ensuring the company complies with state tax regulations.

Analysing financial trends.

Checking daily cash flow statements.

Keeping up to date financial policies, practices and regulations.

Maintaining accurate and up to date financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure proper financial controls and risk management practices.

Check with creditors and debtors’ reconciliations statements and submitting them to the Finance Manager.

Checking account balances up to trail balance level.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance will be an added advantage
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIS or CIMA or CIS..
• Knowledge of SAGE PASTEL ERP System is an advantage.
• At least 5 years relevant experience in financial accounting or transport industry.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
